We are currently seeking for Cost Engineer
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Leads cost management on EPC project management;
- Fully responsible about cost estimates for company submitted quotations;
- Formulates cost management plans;
- Leads change management;
- Reports Job Cost, Cost Controls;
- Interface directly with clients;
- Set up work breakdown structure;
- Be accountable for the preparation, quality and consistency of cost effective estimates and cost control, the development of new cost engineering tools and shaping a team of cost engineers that actively learns from their experiences;
- Deliver standard, consistent and robust cost management frameworks and procedures with respect to Turnarounds (TA's);
- Contribute to adequate assurance reviews and the creation of Investment Proposals including obtaining TA budget approvals. Introduce and implement revised or new cost management and cost estimating tools and you will develop new ways of cost estimating to support the strict cost targets;
- Organize and schedule the workload of cost engineers regarding cost estimating and ensure that the work delivered by the main contractor fulfills the requirements for cost estimating and cost control. Maintain contacts with external parties, e.g. contractors and suppliers and address settlement and invoice inaccuracies where necessary. Integrate with project cost engineers and stay aligned with regards to processes and resources. Assist in developing and implementing methods to measure cost performance of all contributors, including vendors and contractors;
- Prepare cost and schedule reports;
- Prepares monthly report graphics;
- Establish control management, document control management, critical path method work analysis, and in the forecast analysis for costs and schedule;
- Takes field assignments when necessary;
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline;
- 8 years of experience in major refining and petrochemical capital projects;
- Must be capable of exercising cost control of capital projects where precedents are lacking or on problems where a high degree of specialized knowledge is required;
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and networking skills;
- A demonstrated ability to interface effectively with internal engineering, facility planning and technical service groups;
- Advanced computer skills #MS Word, Excel, Access, Project;
