Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Reporting To: Head of Technology

Purpose:

Overall leadership of the technology function and responsible for delivering all aspects of the technology projects.

Key accountabilities:

• Development and agreement of an overall project Strategy
• Development and agreement of an overall project implementation plan
• Mobilisation and development of the internal projectteam
• Establishment of key supplier contracts and relationships
• Successful execution of the overall plan
• Overall responsibility for operations up to and including project hand over
• Management of the project expenditure within the defined budget
• Manage projects implementation plans including activities, schedules, and quality assurance of deliverables.
• Coordinate the implementation team to support the business requirements collection, analysis and testing of software solutions
• Analyse, review and validate functional requirements, system features, integration requirements, security requirements, scalability and performance requirements.
• Serve as the customer liaison between customer groups and external providers
• Manage programme plan including monitoring all projects and subprojects activated within the programme.
• Analyse, review and validate projects’ scope, and systems framework maintaining consistencies between each project implementation.
• Liaise with Service Delivery function to hand-over maintenance and support activities at project completion.
• Coordinate the technical deliveries of the range of suppliers involved, ensuring alignment and clear demarcation of their solutions
• Define and own the overarching IP addressing scheme
• Technical assurance of existing and new supplier infrastructure and solutions
• Review and approval of high-level and detailed network designs submitted by suppliers
• Quality assurance of supplier deliveries, ensuring adherence to designs and vendor best practice
• Drive the establishment of detailed operational processes and procedures, for use in monitoring and maintaining operation and for dealing with incidents or changes arising
• Detailed knowledge of the installation and configuration of Microsoft-based servers to ensure that they are implemented in line with the strategic architecture and according to Microsoft best practice.  This encompasses core Microsoft services such as DHCP, DNS and print services.
• Working within the agreed strategy for technology, define a technical and commercial approach for the provision of the required solutions
• Be an active member of the Technology senior management team and contribute to the overall steering and management of the directorate

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

• Previous experience of technology delivery within a multi-project environment
• Extensive management experience of the delivery of complex technology projects at senior level 
• Credible with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Experienced leader of teams (>20 staff)
• Managed budgets in excess of 10m EUR as minimum
• Working within the agreed strategy for technology, define a technical and commercial approach for the provision of the required solutions
• Fluent English, Russian and Azeri is must
