Your Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and Facilitation of Sessions:
- Design and deliver dynamic extracurricular sessions that encourage students to explore drama through creative movement, vocal expression, and improvisation.
- Focus on self-expression, emotional development, and the joy of performance, ensuring students feel comfortable and supported in taking risks and expressing themselves.
2. Student Engagement and Development:
- Create a safe, inclusive space that nurtures creativity, individuality, and collaboration.
- Employ techniques such as role-playing, character development, and storytelling to inspire students to connect with their emotions and imaginations.
- Encourage students to work together in ensembles, developing interpersonal skills and confidence in public speaking.
3. Classroom Management:
- Utilize effective classroom management strategies tailored to multi-age groups in Lower Primary (K-2) students.
- Ensure an organized and respectful atmosphere where every student feels valued and heard, balancing structure with freedom for creative exploration.
4. Performance Preparation:
- Collaborate with other staff members to prepare students for the school’s Primary Performance in December.
- Guide students through the rehearsal process, ensuring their experience is enjoyable while striving for a polished final product.
- Be flexible with increased hours during the final rehearsal period to support the event.
Our Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching drama (and possibly dance) to young students, particularly in a school setting;
- Ability to create and implement lessons that inspire self-expression, creativity and collaborative learning;
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and facilitation skills;
- Passion for the Performing Arts and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young students;
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

- Capacity to receive positive, constructive feedback;
- Must be extremely organized, self-motivated and capable of thriving in a rapidly changing environment while managing constantly shifting priorities;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
