The company operating in the marine & construction industry is looking for Accountant. The main role of the Accountant is to support Accounting Department in a wide range of accounting & financial operations-related tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of tax returns and respective reports under strict deadlines;
• Follow up tax legislation updates and timely implementation to the company procedures;
• Provide tax payments forecast to the line-manager;
• Payroll calculation processing and reporting, salary payments through internet banking and salary card requests;
• Liaise with ERP providers on payroll system updates and maintenance;
• Actively participate in ERP implementation and/or customization with regard to payroll and tax processes, if necessary;
• Calculation and documentation of sick leave and related inputs into payroll system & e-gov;
• Timely preparing and posting of monthly system entries for allocated payroll, taxes and other relevant transactions as needed;
• Assist in month-end reporting procedures;
• Other duties as assigned by line-manager.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics or finance;
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax reporting procedures;
• Tax and labor legislation expertise;
• Working experience in the related area +2 years;
• Working experience with Excel and accounting software;
• Languages: Azeri, English, others will be an additional benefit for the employee.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of accounting, labor code, and tax legislation;
• Previous experience in a similar position is required;
• Knowledge of accounting software packages  and excellent computer skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Hard-working, task-oriented, energetic, disciplined person;
• Good team player.
