Finance Manager – Roche Azerbaijan LLC

Who we are:

Roche Azerbaijan LLC was established as an affiliate of F.Hoffmann-La Roche AG. The company is based in Baku and deals with the Marketing aspects of the Azeri business, including finance, regulatory and medical affairs for the Pharmaceutical Division.

The Position:

Whilst ensuring strong financial governance, the Finance Manager will inform timely the business on the company performance, actively support Management in crafting and executing value enhancing decisions, by developing the most adequate finance organization, and driving operational efficiencies. He /she will be also acting as the economic and compliance conscience of the company. As the Finance Manager you will be reporting to the local General Manager with a dotted line to the regional manager located in Moscow.

The key responsibilities:

• Ensuring strong Financial governance
• Providing all necessary Financial insights to the Business to support adequate Decision Making to achieve short, mid and long term financial and business objectives
• Supporting and implementing Business decisions from the finance side, monitoring the results through genuine Business partnering
• Identifying true value drivers and contributing to organizational effectiveness across all functions
• Ensure all local, regional and global financial accounting and reporting requirements and timelines are met
• Maintain robust financial systems, process and financial controls to ensure integrity and reliability of financial statements
• Own, drive and lead the local Outlook, Target Proposal, Target Commitment and Business Plan process in close cooperation with local business
• Manage the company’s insurance, tax and treasury situation together with Group Finance
• Guide business in meeting short to long term goals by providing relevant financial as well as non-financial information and business insights
• Support major projects and initiatives (Local, Region, Global and cross function)
• Promote ethical business behavior and compliance.
• Establish the finance organization as the “economic conscience” of the company
• Proactively provide recommendations to mitigate performance variances
• Lead together with senior management in promoting high standards of business behavior and ensure that all aspects of business practices comply with internal and external guidelines and are able to withstand public scrutiny
• Special projects as assigned by local, regional or global management
• Close co-operation and co-ordination with Finance Shared Service Center

To be successful in this application, you will demonstrate that you:

• have more than 5-7 years of strong experience in finance in a multinational environment. Previous experience in a similar role capacity is an asset
• have a professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA), University Degree/MBA
• are fluent in English and Russian
• Solid business process knowledge and global perspective
• Knowledge of local fiscal, legal environment
• Knowledge/experience around ERP Systems / SAP a plus
• Proven record of ensuring Financial governance
• Experience of Business Partnering within a Management team
• Experience within an international environment
• Previous experience within Pharma or another highly regulated industry a plus
• Budget or cost center responsibility
