QA/QC Inspector (Welding & Painting)
Baku Shipyard LLC is looking for the position of QA/QC Inspector (Welding & Painting)
Key responsibilities
• In house inspection and quality control;
• Official inspection with client and surveyors and quality control;
• Form the inspection and test plan;
• Control the welder list;
• Monitor and report the inspection status;
• Control and monitor the WPS implemented on site;
• Monitor Shipbuilding quality standard;
• Monitor welders performance;
• Report to section manager major quality issue on site;
• Carry out material traceability checks;
• Arrange inspection schedule daily, update quality procedure and provide feedback to the production department of our quality standard;
• Responsible for quality, resolve technical issues with Owner’s representative and class surveyor as necessary.
Key requirements
• Degree/Diploma/Trade certificate in Engineering;
• At least 3 years of experience in Welding Inspection, blasting & painting inspections with good service records from pervious company (experience in shipbuilding and ship repair industry is an advantage);
• Must have a valid Certificate, Certified to either AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1, as minimum.
• Must have a valid Certificate, Certified to either NACE Level 2 or BGAS CSWIP Grade 2, as minimum;
• Knowledge of various paints / Paint Manufactures/ Paint Specifications;
• Basic Knowledge of NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT), and ITP;
• Knowledge of various codes such as ASME, AWS, BS, API etc.;
• Exposure to various classification rules RMRS, ABS, and DNV etc.;
• Knowledge of shipbuilding construction, repairs and shipyard operations;
• Knowledge of welding processes SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW ;

• Computer Literacy;
• Presentation Skills;
• Able to work with minimum supervision;
• Creativity;
• English, Azeri and Russian languages excellent written and verbal.
