Role synopsis 

The Subsea Survey Team Leader is accountable for
providing survey support and assurance to the region for all subsea, wells, and seismic activities. Custodian of all regional survey and positioning data, Metocean data, seabed surveys, installation as-builts, PSA boundary data and satellite imagery

Key accountabilities 

• Deliver strong, visible Survey HSSE leadership, including participation in relevant contractor HSSE audits, management vessel visits, contractor KPI reviews, HAZIDs, RAs, Lessons Learnt sessions as required.
• Deliver site survey support according to the Management of Geophysical Operations (MoGO) UDP, the Site Investigation Manual and project-specific survey procedures.
• Deliver rig and well positioning support in compliance with the Survey & Positioning Integrity (S&PI) UDP, relevant Wells ETPs, and rig move specific positioning procedures.
• Manage AGT Region Field Charting and survey database systems, compliant with the Survey S&PI UDP. Lead delivery of the Region’s Corporate GIS implementation strategy, including long term plan for migration from CAD charting to GIS and integration of SSDM, PODS GB databases.
• Provide suitable GPO & Subsea Ops survey support to minimise risk of spatial integrity issues, and drive delivery of critical as-built data into corporate domain, in compliance with S&PI UDP.
• Deliver a technical specialist resource, knowledge base and training for coordinate & spatial integrity, and availability of Region survey, geophysical and geotechnical data / reports.
• Provide technical representation to PSCM for survey & site investigation, rig move and survey representative contracts.
• Support AGT Survey & Positioning discipline health maintenance through resourcing and succession planning, adherence to relevant standards, and S&SI Community of Practice (CoP) inputs. Liaise with and support S&P SeTA and CoP Leader in global survey discipline health and technical standards development.
• On the advent of global implementation, manage S&PI UDP Region gap closure plan according to agreed schedule and resource availability.

Essential Education 

• University degree or equivalent in Survey Sciences or Applied Geophysics.

Essential experience and job requirements 

• Minimum of 15 years worldwide offshore experience in lead role in offshore Survey, Site Investigation, and Survey Project Management.
• Minimum three years office experience, managing survey personnel and workscopes. Thorough understanding of the principles and practical application of offshore survey with a proven record of innovation in Survey and Site Investigation methodology in shallow and deep water.
