 Will be responsible for their individual revenue goals as determined by the DOSM

Conditions of Work:

Normal administrative office and hotel working conditions, with extensive local & regional travel and with the possibility of international travel

Role Overview

Purpose:

Responsible for managing the relationship, qualify and evaluate accounts, sales solicitation for group and individual business for catering, food & beverage and rooms in general within assigned segments. Ensure Jumeirah is the first choice for assigned accounts, maximise revenue & all account, partner opportunities for each assigned segment

Main Duties:

 Educate customers/accounts on the product and services at JBB
 Build rapport with key corporate accounts
 Complete assigned sales call on a daily basis
 Conduct site inspections when needed
 Conduct regular competitor’s surveys on events being held at competitor hotels and follow-up with introductory letter
 When required attend/schedule lunch entertainment for Key accounts
 Chair a sales briefing once a week pertaining to the corporate business environment in the markets
 Schedule call to be made one week in advance and share this information in the daily sales briefings
 To develop a practice of weekly sales call plan in order to help better planning in terms of time management, sales objectives and who we want to see
 Organize business entertainment to include: luncheons, dinners, cocktails to know the client and give them confidence in the Hotel Management team, introduce the General Manager whenever possible and the DOSM/ADSM
 Track and share information regarding new business trends
 Understand factors that affect the market, inform management accordingly and come with the solution
 Keep track of the competitors regarding special promotions and rate packages.
 Communicate effectively to ensure that the sales function is carried out smoothly and commitments are met
 Build up good rapport with the other hotel departments
 Make at least 20 sales calls weekly on the accounts in his/her assigned areas, of which has to include at least 3 new accounts every week
 Dress in a manner which is conductive to business environment whereby first impressions reflect on the hotel image
