Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate wide range of contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts and NDAs;
- Work in collaboration with all service lines to clarify and define contractual terms and conditions with the aim to protect the Firm’s interest through well-crafted agreements;
- Ensure legal compliance within the Firm;
- Maintain contracts register;
- Conduct KYC, conflict of interest and client-acceptance processes;
- Participate in dispute resolution when necessary;
- Research legislation to provide legal support to other departments;
- Develop and deliver internal compliance programmes;
- Proofread and translate technical documents.
Duties:
- Represent BDO in a professional manner at all times through punctuality & appearance;
- Maintain accurate registers and folders;
- Be proactive and promote a culture of compliance;
- Meet the Firm’s expectations and project deadlines.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) from a leading law school;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English;
- 2 years of experience in relevant field;
- Good communication, writing and time management skills;
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently;
- Problem solving and analytical skills;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
- Honesty, integrity and professional ethics.
