AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for ICSS Commissioning Engineer (National)

The successful candidates should have:

• Competent in communicating in English language.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Ability to produce written reports.
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power point
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and project schedule.
• Min 5 years experience in advanced Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) within the hydrocarbon facilities.
• Recognised Instrument Engineering Qualification.
• COMPEX  Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas Certificate (Desirable)

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Supervise the safe completion of the project instrument pre-commissioning/commissioning work-scope
• Supervise and support the project Instrument Commissioning Team.
• Provide Fire & Gas input into project instrument system design during the project design phase.
• Provide instrument commissioning input to the project plans and schedules
• Develop project instrument commissioning strategy documents
• Review/approve and supervise the design and installation of  minor temporary instrument systems / supplies
• Review and approve instrument commissioning procedures - ensure compliance with project standards, specifications and procedures.
• Ensure all instrument commissioning activities adhere to all applicable site / project safety procedures and practices.
• Actively participate in all company and project safety initiatives.
• Audit site/project instrument activities on a regular basis to ensure all compliance with project safety, environmental, and quality requirements,
• Monitor and report instrument commissioning progress on a regular basis
• Ensure a safe Instrument Permit to Work and isolation system is in place and adhered to.
• Manage/attend project HAZID's / Risk Assessments
• Provision of technical support for ICSS assets, including ensuring compliance with standards, provision of technical advice and management of critical drawings
• Carrying out Management of Change on all ICSS and UCP Control System equipment
• Identifying and defining scope for Shutdown and for providing assistance for development of Work/ Mod pack scope
• Contributing to HAZOP, SIL and Alarm Management reviews.
• Experience with managing System Vendors
• Familiarity with Front End Design, concepts, detailed design, constructability, commissioning, process and Control Philosophy and the documentation of Process Systems and Equipment.
• Design, specification and installation of Control Systems and Instrumentation in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Knowledge and practical experience of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Data Historian products.
• Knowledge of data communications methods in control systems.
• Testing of Computerised Systems in accordance to IEC principles.
• Work within C&I discipline project design team to execute its part of the project, with emphasis on ensuring safety, quality and efficiency in design and in the design process.
• Carry out C&I design and engineering activities using best practice techniques and tools, in compliance with Company Quality Procedures, requirements of the relevant contract and any other appropriate standards and guidance.
• Contribute to the production of comprehensive design specifications, control narratives, user requirements documents, and deliverables lists etc for projects.
• Working within the C&I group project design team to ensure the project and Company quality systems are the basis of all project design work.
• Contribute and assist the Project Manager, and Design team in the planning, monitoring and reporting of progress and resource requirements for particular projects.
• Assist in the production of design risk assessments.
• Contribute to design reviews such as Quality, Compliance, Cost, Constructability, Commissioning practices, HAZOP, Value, Risk, etc.
• Maintain adequate and continuing Professional Development to ensure familiarity and competence with all areas relevant to the operations of the Company,
• Contribute to the specification and design modifications to DCS, ESD & F&G Systems including Control and shutdown philosophy, System Architecture Development, Equipment Specifications, DCS Functional Specification, ESD Cause & Effect Diagrams, F&G Cause & Effect Diagrams, F&G Layouts and Work pack generation
