AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for Preservation Engineer (National)

The successful candidates should have:

• Ability to interpret and understand P&IDs, D&IDs, UFDs, PFDs, GA’s and other engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of oil and gas package equipment.
• Ability to effectively plan & schedule work
• Management of a team of technicians in line with the schedule
• Work on own initiative.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain a database, with written technical reports and procedures.
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Develop a preservation management database, and supporting schedule.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Supervise and support Commissioning Technicians in the execution of their daily activities
• Verification of the completions / commissioning management database in line with applicable project procedures and latest design data.
• Completion of Commissioning Function Test Procedures and liaison with construction and completions personnel.
• Verification and acceptance of mechanical completion and commissioning handover packages in line with the agreed system handover schedule.
• Ensuring data, documentation and handover are in accordance with project procedures.
• Adherence to all applicable site/project safety procedures / active participation in all company/project safety initiatives.
• Status reporting of progress as required by the project.
• Identification & sourcing of tools / spares / consumables
• Production of work reports in line with project procedures
• Co-ordination of equipment vendors / subcontractors during commissioning activities.
• Identification of PTW requirements and the raising of applicable permits to cover commissioning workscope
• Management of a team of preservation technicians to deliver the preservation routines in line with the management database and supporting schedule
• Ensure that the all preservation activities are completed in a safe manor, and in line with appropriate CoW processes.
• Raising any concerns, risks, or rework activities found as a result of executing the preservation routines
• Input to specialist vender call offs to support the preservation schedules
• Ensure all Mechanical vendors called to site are aware and understand the safe working practices of the site and receive all the necessary site specific safety training.
