Role synopsis
As Sub-sea Operations & Pipelines Site H&S Lead, you will be based onshore and be responsible for providing authoritative advice on all health and safety aspects of respective Area Operations activities to ensure safe, complaint and environmentally reliable operations. You will be reporting to the Sub-sea Operations & Pipelines Health & Safety Team Leader.
Key accountabilities
• Lead HSE inspections and audits on offshore platforms to ensure that a safe and compliant working environment is being maintained.
• Maintain HSE risk profile/registers to ensure that workplace/operational hazards are properly documented and controlled.
• Take ownership of specific Health and Safety procedures and ensure that they accurately reflect safe working practices.
• Participate in Incident Investigations to determine Immediate and Systems Causes and develop Corrective Actions as required.
• Co-ordinate the response to safety issues identified from incident Investigation reports with the appropriate Team Leaders
• Co-ordinate the collection of environmental samples/monitoring as required by applicable legal and other requirements.
• Identify HSE training needs for personnel on offshore platforms.
Essential Education
• BSc degree, or equivalent, in an environmental, engineering or science subject.
Essential experience and job requirements
•3 years of HSE experience in operations and / or projects
Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location)
•Experience in operations and projects
•Ability to influence and manage change.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills.
•Experience in conducting HSE training.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
