Main duties:

Store managers perform different daily job duties based on the types of products being sold, the size of the retail store, and the number of employees working in that store.

However, these job duties are essentially the same in all stores, mainly focusing on supervising a store’s staff and operations, working closely with the store manager.

Priorities are the same as for the rest of the staff - to provide a welcoming, positive and efficient experience to customers, through managing internal processes, delegation tasks to the team, manage personnel and training, set sales and other operational targets, implement company initiatives and goals.

MANAGEMENT

  • Set up right priorities, daily, weekly monthly focus points, ensure store targets and goals are achieved in a timely manner
  • Good time management to set realistic deadlines and follow specific steps to reach time- sensitive objectives, same time management towards instructions and goals given by related head office departments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead staff, help customers and work with management
  • Management of daily/weekly/monthly meetings with the store staff (daily - twice a day as per shifts, weekly and monthly meetings to be hold on agreed dates or days). Responsible to set up daily plans, schedules, news, highlights, issues, prioritizing tasks, feedbacks.
  • Control of KPIs of each staff as per position

SALES

  • Take part in actual sales process
  • Involve in all aspects of sales process, assist customers if needed, provide required product information, help in fitting and close the sales process on the cash till
  • Develop successful sales plans on daily/weekly/monthly and yearly basis to grow stores performance
  • Product control - ensure seasonal and new deliveries, special/limited products, seasonal changes, carryovers are placed on time on the shop floor. Control and overview of stock team and VM coordination, responsible for any product related delays that might effect the sales
  • To monitor staff interaction with client base, ensure proper service is provided, correct information is sent as per company and brand's guidelines (calls, WhatsApp, Telegram and SMS). Ensure this channel is properly used to close the sales.

STORE

  • Work closely with VM team to ensure store is properly organized as per brands guidelines
  • Maintain store clean, ensure maintenance is done on time
  • Monitoring store's office and kitchen supplies, ensuring required orders are done on time and as per needs
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.

REPORTS

  • Daily store check list
  • KPI
  • Product feedback to buying team on seasonal product, slow movers, special customer's requests
  • Provide recommendations for improvements
  • To control and monitor the return and exchange reports, ensuring all required details are available (reason, customer details, etc)
  • Feedback to the operations team about any product related issues, damaged, lost, customers complains, wrong delivery/transfer, labelling, tagging, hanging
  • Random check reporting (lockers, price labels, bags, tagging)

STAFF

  • Oversee the store sales team and other staff members, supervising employees, delegating tasks, evaluating employee performance, managing staff problems, and designing work schedules.
  • Help and assist to achieve store sales target as well as each staff's personal targets
  • Ensure sales targets are distributed on time, monitored on daily basis and assist each staff to achieve set up targets
  • Assist HR in employee recruiting, training and development
  • Review staff schedules on a daily basis, confirm changes, replacement, vacations, special leave requests
  • Review staff performance on a monthly basis and offer constructive feedback
  • Provide feedback to HR about each staff in a timely manner, without delays and lack of information
  • Mentoring store staff, assist in planning and organizing of daily tasks and duties
  • Ensure store staff is following company and brand rules and regulations with regards to health, safety and security, take responsibility for discipline and subordination issues during working hours
  • Control and management in-store conflicts, take all the measures to resolve the conflicts as per company's regulations
  • Assist HR in providing uniforms to the staff in accordance with the dress code of the Company; to check the personnel outfit as per grooming brand guidelines.

STORE INVENTORY

  • Manage store inventory by ordering new products as per demand and guidelines and maintaining order accordingly in the stock room.
  • Prepare the store for inventory and revision: schedule, including store management participation as well, organized stock room and shop floor, required documents that might effect stock count (stock on hand, transfers info, damaged, marketing use, write off, etc)
  • Management and control of any stock movement, saleable and non saleable, responsible for any product/item entering/leaving the store, qty, quality, usage and purpose, participation in goods acceptance together with stock team
  • Ensure all product's related operations are correctly done and on time, control of the departments responsible for these operations: tagging, labelling, pricing, hanging, certification, ironing
  • Prepare immediate and detailed reports on product to the related departments, buying, ERP, Operations (damaged, wrong sizing, labelling, customers feedback, manufacturing defect)
  • Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and demands
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items.

CUSTOMERS

  • Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, including patience and active listening, to ensure customers feel heard and helped
  • Assist customers and troubleshoot customer service issues when necessary
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints or grievances
  • Conflict management to resolve customer.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail with at least 2 to 3 years’ experience as a Store Manager or on similar role
  • Management and organizational skills
  • Owing an active luxury client base
  • Prioritizing the tasks importance
  • Budgeting and reporting daily, weekly, monthly
  • Teamworking and leadership skills
  • Staff strategy
  • Understanding, supporting and implementing company’s ideas
  • Respecting and following company’s hierarchy within departments
  • Strong Computer skills as excel, word, e-mail and etc.
  • Understanding and fulfilling brand requirements
