AMEC is a major Engineering and Construction Company involved in Oil and Gas Projects in Azerbaijan is looking for E&I QC Inspector (National)

The successful candidates should have:

• Have an instrument and/or electrical background with minimum 5 years oil & gas inspection experience in a similar role and is familiar with general codes and standards
• Good understanding of quality management systems typically applied to engineering offices and fabrication works
• Supervisory experience preferable and the ability to work on own initiative essential
• Good communication and formal reporting skills in English and able to actively contribute at project meetings
• Work as a team player with proactive approach and attention to detail.
• Competent with MicroSoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• CompEx qualification for inspection of ‘Ex’ equipment preferable
• Team player with keen desire to develop and succeed

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the following activities:

• Perform material receipt inspection of electrical and instrumentation equipment at  warehouse and release for issue
• Raise non-conformance reports for material and certification issues
• Carry out inspection activities as indicated on approved subcontractors ITP
• Review certification packs, vendor certification and manufacturing record books
• Liaise with PSCM/Projects to resolve quality related issues
• Assist in the day to day functioning of the QA/QC department including assisting in:
• QA assessment/QC surveillance visits on Suppliers/Subcontractors
• Ensure Health & Safety Responsibilities are adhered to and understood
• Ensure all fabrication procedures and standards are being adhered to by providing the necessary inspection and test witnessing.
• Review material certification requirements and specifications for instrument and electrical disciplines
• Review instrument and electrical certification provided with the goods e.g. ATEX.
