Services include project design, design verification and management, structural, piping, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical / instrumentation design, upgrades and modifications, inspection, auditing and engineering support. PD&MS Energy has UK operations in Aberdeen, Dundee, and Great Yarmouth, and international offices in Azerbaijan and Brazil.

Role synopsis

PD&MS Energy have recently been awarded a contract by BP Exploration for the provision of Engineering Services for Platform Drilling. As a result of this we have opened a new office in Baku and will require suitably qualified and experienced citizens of Azerbaijan to fill the following Designer roles:

Designer, Piping/Mechanical (Ref: 020)
Designer, Structural (Ref: 021)
Designer, Electrical/Instrument (Ref: 022)

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarisation with and full understanding of, overall project work-scope and project schedule.
• Identification of outstanding interface engineering requirements through interface with project team and client.
• Offshore Site survey to establish way forward with a view to completing interface engineering and detailed design.
• Design development.
• Detailed design on fast track basis.
• As building as required, and input to project close out activities.
• Maintaining or bettering project schedule.
• Ensure compliance with relevant QA Health & Safety and Environmental Policies, where applicable

Essential qualifications and experience

• Minimum HNC in Mechanical/Instrumental/Electrical Engineering or Recognised Equivalent Training Course
• Minimum of 3 Years’ Experience in Detailed Design using Auto CAD
• Understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes & Standards
• Good verbal and written communication skills
