Responsibilities:

  • As a translator at European Azerbaijan School, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between staff, students, and parents. Your main duties will include:
  • Providing accurate and fluent verbal translation during meetings, events, and interactions where language assistance is required.
  • Crafting clear and precise written translations of various documents, ensuring the original message is conveyed accurately and effectively.
  • Collaborating with the administrative team to support various school initiatives that require multilingual communication.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all translation tasks.
  • Assisting in creating bilingual materials to enhance communication across the school community.

Qualifications:

  • To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
  • Proficiency in both Azerbaijani and English, both verbal and written, is essential.
  • Strong command of Russian is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a translator or in a related language-focused role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in conveying the essence of the original message and capturing its nuances in translation.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in translation work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple translation tasks effectively.
  • Tech-savviness, with proficiency in using translation software and common office applications such as Google Suite and MS Office.
