Summary:

Reliability Engineer carries out the reliability activities of all or assigned facilities affiliated to the Socar Downstream according to instructions from line manager and monitors compliance with the reliability performance and targets of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental Protection (HSE) standards, statutory requirements, Refinery Operating Rules, Refinery and Integrity and Reliability Department internal procedures, as well as international codes and standards used in the refining industry. To plan and execute daily tasks based on the above;
  • To carry out flawless registration of data on the duties of his responsibility, report, submit to the line manager;
  • Planning and implementing activities defined by the Chief Reliability Engineer and/or Reliability Manager of SDM;
  • Planning and implementing reliability activities in the considering current national regulations, industry best practices, codes and standards. Maintaining relevant records properly and preparing them for presentation at audits. Giving suggestions for improvement and development on Reliability Unit;
  • Working for the execution of the Asset Management Performance (APM) System Installation Project; ACA, RCM, RBI, SIL, DEM, etc., in coordination with the relevant focal person. To play an active role in the processes of organizing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting workshops;
  • Supporting the line manager in reporting reliability KPls to the relevant committees of the Company;
  • Involvement in the identification of assets (Bad Actors) that cause abnormally high maintenance costs and/or loss of production, affecting the reliability of the Company and its facilities; Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Statistical Process Control, Fault Tree Analysis, etc., in order to ensure that necessary precautions are taken and to increase reliability. To offer advice on actions such as equipment replacement or decommissioning, using methods;
  • Preparing reliability reports; Continuously monitor and update the reliability indicators of the Company and its facilities and offer suggestions for improvement;
  • Assist in the process of managing Asset Life Cycle Cost (LCC) during the design and assembly of new assets or replacement of existing assets;
  • To be aware of the OHS requirements and targets of the Company. To carry out the necessary controls in order to comply with the OHS rules in force in order to prevent accidents in the area he is responsible;
  • Supporting the efficiency and quality of the reliability activities of SDM and its facilities;
  • Fulfilling the duties assigned to him\her by the manager to whom he is affiliated in relation to his field of duty;
  • Answering emergency calls outside of business hours, working overtime when it’s necessary, providing on-call support after business hours when it’s necessary;
  • To act in accordance with the company's policies, mission, vision, corporate values, legal and other requirements, as well as company ethical rules, policies, procedures, instructions, strategies and objectives; ensuring the adoption and dissemination of the relevant rules, policies and other requirements by the personnel in the positions under it; informing the relevant units in case of any discrepancies observed within the company on these issues;
  • Checking the accuracy of information and documents related to the field;
  • To report regularly and effectively to the person in the position (line manager) he is affiliated with on the works falling under his responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 3 years minimum relevant experience;
  • Ability to read and interpret and practical knowledge of international standards, national regulations and GOST standards.
  • Fluent English language skills;
