Data Modeller Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
Work collaboratively with both technical teams and business stakeholders to understand data needs.
Convert business requirements into data models that are easy to understand and used by different disciplines across the company.
Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
Design, create, and optimize data models to meet business needs, including Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.
Develop best practices for data modeling and data architecture.
Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.
Update existing data models and create new ones as needed.
Analyze data sources for quality and usability.
Document structures and types of business data.
Liaise with the development team to implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models.
Ensure all data models align with company standards and business objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Data Modeller, Data Architect, Database Designer, or a similar role.
Familiarity with any data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Sparx, SQL Developer Data Modeler).
Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, R).
Strong understanding of database structure principles.
Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
Expertise in data warehousing and business intelligence platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
