 The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations.  We operate in 109 countries.  Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and increase appreciation of the UK’s creative ideas and achievements.

 We are looking for experienced professional to fill the position of Education Officer Role Profile-Education Officer.doc ).

 The Education Officer will coordinate and deliver successful educational services to UK education providers in Azerbaijan and provide support to the Internationalising Higher Education programme in Azerbaijan.

 Requirements:

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Azerbaijani and will offer skills and experience to match the job profile for this post, enclosed in the application pack. (Download Role Profile for Education Officer) 
Successful applicants will need to be able to travel within Azerbaijan, to UK and other countries on business and to attend evening and weekend events.

 Benefits:

 Post will benefit from 1 year full-time contract which may be extended, a medical insurance package, and annual defined leave allowance.  Post will be appointed at British Council Grade H and starting annual salary will be AZN 15,540. Successful candidate will need to start work with us from end of April or early May.
