Job duties:

• Carry out market research in order to keep up to date with customer trends, and forecast consumer needs
• Build relationships with brand partners, participate in negotiations related to the product presence on the market, as well as brands and assortment offered
• Monitor and review of each brand’s performance in a portfolio and suggest changes if needed to the head of the department
• Attend seasonal buying sessions and place required orders as per budgets provided by the head of the department 
• Prepare and arrange internal POs for the orders placed, monitor and correct product specification in the system (master data)
• Provide weekly, monthly, annual reports to the brand partners as per their request and requirements 
• Monitor stock levels of each store/chain and provide required action plan approved by head of the department, to the retail and marketing departments
• Suggest and arrange product distribution as well as internal transfers between stores of each chain
• Provide promotional product activities, analyse the success of these campaigns and create sell out reports
• Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
• Coordinate buying processes with internal departments of retail (stores), ERP, stock management, marketing, logistics and VM
• Attend events, fairs and exhibitions to remain up-to-date with the market’s trends
• Weekly /monthly market visits of own stores as well as monitor and report of competitors’ activity

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Junior Buyer, Buyer or similar role
• Excelent knowledge of English language 
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft’s programs 
• Ability to work independently
• Negotiation skills
• Interest in sport trends and technologies
