The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations.  We operate in 109 countries and territories.  Our purpose is to build mutually beneficial relationships between people in the UK and other countries and increase appreciation of the UK’s creative ideas and achievements.

The British Council is looking for experienced and self-motivated individuals to work as Arts Project Assistant. The successful candidates will be invited to interview in January.

It should be noted that this is not a “full time” position. The Arts Project Assistant will work approximately 5 hours a day.

Contract type: service contract.
The contract will be fixed term, for six months, but might be extended close to its termination.

Evidence of registration with tax authorities will have to be provided.

Experience:
• Events administration, support in projects delivery and computer skills. 
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and English
• Experience in arts projects (theatre is desirable)
• Experience in international projects is an asset.

The successful candidate should have:
• Strong management skills
• Excellent organizational, communication and inter-personal skills
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani (Russian is desirable)
• Good office software skills

Special requirements:
 Willingness to work weekends and outside normal working hours (09.00-18.00 Mon-Fri) as required
