Role synopsis
The role is for an engineer in the Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey (AGT) Completions Team, assigned into Azeri Chirag Guneshli (ACG) Completion Operations Team.
The ACG is a major field in Azerbaijan producing approximately 700 mbd of hydrocarbons. The objective of the Completion Operation Team is to support planning efforts and provide engineering support for all new wells completion and workover operations to deliver optimal value to the business. The Team is responsible for all aspects of completion program execution, including: generating days and cost performance expectations; identifying equipment and personnel needs and coordinating timely delivery of same with offshore team; writing and communicating final well-specific operational procedures and expectations; ensuring quality assurance processes applied on critical completion sub-assemblies; supporting offshore operations onsite; capturing lessons and sharing throughout the region and globally; and issuing final well completions reports and documentation. There are strong interfaces with the other teams: Drilling, Interventions, Base Management, Logistics, Cost Accounting, and Third Party Suppliers.
Key accountabilities
• Work with multidiscipline team to enable all new completions to be installed as Safe and Compliant; on time and within budget; in line with well Safety and Operational Risk (SOR), standard Basis of Design (BoDs); and, wells handed over capable of delivering required life of well reliability and productivity and meeting integrity requirements.
• Communicate, review and risk assess completion procedures with suppliers and offshore implementation team prior to execution.
• Provide operational support during program execution.
• Capture and communicate key lessons learned during completion operations.
• Support development for challengers and junior level CEs.
• Work with service companies to ensure they deliver the highest quality services offshore.
• Perform offshore engineer duties during completion installation offshore
Essential Education
• Relevant engineering degree
Essential experience and job requirements
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Good communication skills in English and Azerbaijani languages
• Willing to support operations outside normal office hours when necessary
• Willing to travel and work occasionally offshore
Desirable criteria & qualifications
• Good HSE understanding and performance.
• Good team working skills
• Internationally mobile
