Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to manage high volume workload and keep to deadlines
- Accurate and timely data entry
- Track & Trace customs files and reporting
- Understand all the elements of the import and export customs desk level operating procedure
- Transfer customs declaration information from documents , into customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
- Assist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authority
- Prepare and process import/export documentation according to customs regulations , laws,or procedures.
- Coordinate regulatory documentation activities
- Strong Operational & Supervisory Experience
- Knowledge of International Logistics
- Excellent administrative skills, IT literate
- Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager or Head of Department.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field within logistics operations, including shipping and international transactions of import/export and Customs regulations. Ability to work with little or no supervision. To create good and reliable relationship with customs inspectors. Knowledge of HSE safety guidelines and practices.
To have a strong Operational & Supervisory Experience.
Preferred Skills:
Familiar with Global Trade-Customs, import/export and Foreign Trade concepts, practices, and regulatory requirements. Fully knowledgeable of the licensing process including specific requirements of the Azerbaijan State Customs Regulations, US. Departments of State, Commerce and Treasury and regulations and laws applicable to international trade, Licensed Customs Broker/Certified Customs Specialist. Good team skills to be able to work with others. Ability to fully carry out instructions. Multitasking ability. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and negotiation skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Additional Notes:
Ability to work under operational pressure and play key role within crew. Ability to be accurate on commitments with clients and target deadlines.
