Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC is seeking a PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT for its Head Office.

Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC (AzerCredit) helps develop the economy of Azerbaijan by providing credit to small entrepreneurs so that they can grow their businesses and improve their economic situation. AzerCredit is one of the largest micro-credit organizations in Azerbaijan. AzerCredit is currently seeking a Payroll Accountant for its Head Office. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Calculates staff’s salaries, and salary deductions (payroll tax, deductions to Social Protection Fund, etc.) and ensures that deductions are transferred to the appropriate bank accounts;
• Controls the accuracy of salaries and salary deductions (employee payroll tax, deductions to Social Protection Fund, etc.) by checking VFAC’s head office, branch and sub-branch offices’ timesheets and payrolls;
• Promptly informs a branch office’s bookkeeper if any correction is needed and ensures that the necessary correction is made without delay.
• Prepares financial statements, portfolio reports, and statistical summary and must be able to independently prepare and ensure the submission of those reports;
• Collects and collates data and generate reports from all applicable sources;
• Collects, checks for accuracy and adherence to accepted standards and classifications, and consolidates all branch and sub-branch offices’ reports;
• Prepares reports in an accurate and timely manner and ensures their submission, as appropriate;
• Coordinates the collection and reporting of statistics from the portfolio report and in the reconciliation of write-offs and recoveries;
• Prepares reports necessary for making managerial decisions and to assist in the interpretation and analysis of these reports.
• Prepares cash flows, reviewing cash counts from branches, and preparing cash requests for the following month;
• Inputs Journals to Journal Hold; posting Journals; prepares balance of accounts for management, including actual and forecast, ensuring maintenance of bank accounts and bank relationships.

Successful candidates should meet the following criteria; qualifications, knowledge and technical skills:
• University degree in economics/finance/accounting;
• At least 2 years relevant experience, preferably in micro-credit or other financial institutions;
• Fluency in Azeri language, intermediate level in English;
• Knowledge of IFRS, applicable tax, accounting legislation, internal standard acts, policies and procedures on accounting;
• Knowledge of accounting software is strongly preferred;
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
• Good communication, commitment, efficiency, flexibility skills when performing the duties;
• Creative, proactive and talented at task performance, communicating and planning independently
• Good attitude and respectful manner towards the staffs
