Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC is seeking a Lawyer for its Central Regions’ offices (Location is Goychay office)
Vision Fund AzerCredit LLC (AzerCredit), which is one of the largest micro-credit organizations in Azerbaijan, helps develop the economy of the country by providing credit to small entrepreneurs so that they can grow their businesses and improve their economic situation. AzerCredit is currently seeking a Lawyer for its Central Regions’ offices. Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
Purpose of the position, which will be located in Goychay office, is to provide legal support to AzerCredit’s regional branches/sub-branches (Goychay, Mingachevir, Agdash, Yevlax, Agjabadi, Agdam and Zardab).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understanding and supporting AzerCredit philosophy and objectives;
• Doing all within his/her ability to meet targets set by supervisor and work unceasingly to enable AzerCredit to meet its goal;
• Conducting all activities in compliance with AzerCredit policies and procedures;
• Providing legal support to branches/sub-branches in pursuing court cases against defaulters;
• Monitoring the progress of all legal cases involving branches/sub-branches of AzerCredit and coordinating with related managers on proper handling of the cases;
• Drafting all required legal documents, i.e. contracts, agreements, and the like, for branches/sub-branches and ensuring compliance to all existing legal regulations;
• Representing the company in civil, criminal, and administrative proceedings within the region;
• Executing notarization of various notary acts reasoning from interests of the organization within the region;
• Studying constitution, statutes, decisions, regulations, and ordinances of judicial bodies to determine ramifications for cases;
• Supporting managers concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations;
• Providing consultation to regional offices during the process of activity reasoning from their activity;
• Meeting with state officials and holding negotiation regarding company’s legal issues;
• Handling any other legal duties assigned by his/her supervisor;
Required Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• At least bachelor degree in Law (master degree is preferred);
• At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position;
• Excellent knowledge of civil law, labor law, civil & criminal procedures and banking legislation;
• Fluency in Azeri and good knowledge of English are required (knowledge of Russian is desired);
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
• High level of loyalty towards the organization and its mission;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude;
