Veterinary Clinical and Epizootology Trainer(s)
Duties:
• Conduct veterinary field and basic epizootology training for AJ veterinarians and for Azerbaijani government trainers
• Revise, adapt, and assist in the translation of existing training curricula, as well as develop new training materials as needed, to fulfill program requirements, including formatting, version control, and translation quality assurance.
• Assist with the development of legal guidelines and documentation that supports sustainment of trainings.
• Provide On the job training and mentoring to trainees, as needed.
• Support the development and implementation of research projects that involve and train veterinarians and veterinary laboratory personnel.
• Maintain training records to facilitate entry into an electronic database to track training scheduling and progress.
• Produce and edit training reports and documents, as required
• Participate in teleconferences, meetings, reporting and management activities, as required
Background
• Degree in veterinary medicine or science. Advanced training in epizootology or veterinary epidemiology, such as FELTP, strongly preferred.
• Experience in veterinary practice and/or a laboratory setting preferred.
• Experience in delivering formalized instruction, such as through a university, technical school, NGO, government institution, or private training program preferred.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and, preferably, Russian
• Good organizational and communications skills
• Capable of efficiently performing duties using common IT software applications – MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Reader
• Capable of understanding program goals and needs, adapting to rapidly-changing circumstances, working efficiently, making timely decisions, communicating clearly, and responding to oversight and managerial direction
• Able to travel for up to 2 weeks at a time
