Sub-Contract Officer

Job Description

-Plans, sources, awards and expedites works required by various departments from local and overseas sub-contractors/vendors who can provide the following services:
- fabricate (including bending/ rolling) and install steel structures
- fabricate and install electrical & piping works.
- supply & install ventilation & air conditioning works
- supply &install insulation for hot & cold (piping & accommodation)
- supply & install accommodation works
- any service required onboard vessels

-Checks requisitions, obtains quotations, examines bids and recommendssub-contractors/ vendors.
-Develops new supply sources where sub-contractors/vendors are inadequate.
-Coordinates with other departments to maintain works progress
-Evaluates sub-contractor/ vendor’s performance

Requirements

-A Degree or Diploma in Marine & Offshore, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
-Minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in the shipbuilding or offshore industry
-Possesses international trading knowledge
-Possesses good negotiation skills
-Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-Ability to communicate in written and spoken Azeri and English
