BUDGETING, PLANNING AND REPORTING GROUP HEAD
 
Job description:

Budgeting, Planning and reporting group head is a position in the Finance department and reports to the Finance Director. The main role is to ensure overall management control for all financial aspects of the company’s operations. These include planning, budgeting, cost control, managerial costing and accounting, reporting, design and implementation of financial control processes.

The basic job duties will include, but not be limited to:

Planning
o Preparation and revision of annual operating budget
o Play a key role in the development and update of the annual and long-term strategic business plans;
o Ensure preparation of quarterly and annual budgets for the company (P&L, balance sheet and cash flows);
o Forecast, report and analysis of KPI and variances
o Utilize various forecasting techniques to forecast various indicators of interest to the requestor;
Analysis & Cost control
o Work closely with the accounting department to perform a cost-control analysis by departments;
o Build and operate a framework for managing business cases for significant investments and expenses
o Analyze cost structure and propose efficiency improvements
o Perform feasibility studies and financial analysis as required
o Identify and report on important efficiency and effectiveness improvement areas in operations

Internal control environment and business process management
o Act as one of the key contacts with the ERP vendor, develop scope and monitor execution
o Ongoing development and implementation of internal control process and procedures to ensure integrity of financial recording
o Develop procedures which provide effective monitoring and evaluation and facilitate reporting systems


Requirements:
∙ Education: University education in finance, accounting and/or other related business disciplines. Students with a degree from a US/European university are encouraged to apply;
∙ Work experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in a related field is required. ACCA/CFA/CIMA candidates will be given strong reference.
∙ IT skills: Knowledge of MS Office programs (Excel, Word)
∙ Languages: Fluency in English, Azerbaijani and Russian

Remuneration:
o Remuneration will be competitive; initial salary is dependent upon specific
knowledge of the sector and experience;
o Subsequent revisions of salary will depend on promotion and performance;
