Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Linux system on RHCE level
• Experience with Bash scripting (knowledge of Python is a plus)
• A solid understanding of the Linux boot process and troubleshooting
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining LAMP stack
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining of Nagios
• Excellent knowledge of firewalld/iptables and SELinux
• Experience with Ansible automation
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes (knowledge of OpenShift is a plus)
• Knowledge of ELK stack
• Experience with pacemaker
• General knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, Load Balancers, Proxies)
• Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
• Excellent organizational, analytical and independent problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• 3+ years of industry experience focused on Linux system administration
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related area of study
• Familiarity with load balancing and firewalls
• Strong grasp on configuration management tools, such as Puppet and Chef
• Experience maintaining open source packages and/or working with the open source community
• Experience maintaining large scale Linux implementations
• Experience with storage or backup verticals
• VMware administration experience (preferred, but not required)
• Experience scripting and writing/modifying code to improve monitoring/deployment (preferred, but not required)
• Certificates – LPI, Red Hat, GIAC (preferred, but not required)
