Materials Purchaser

Responsibilities:

- To manage the purchasing of materials and equipment hire for EnerMech.
- To liaise with 3rd Party Vendors to gather quotations
- Preparation of proposals to be submitted to clients
- Update material/equipment tracker on daily basis
- Tracking of materials/Equipment delivery into Baku
- Gathering of commercial documents for preparation of invoice
- Following up with Cost Engineer to ensure that invoice has been closed.
- Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
- Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
- Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
- Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development

Requirements:

• Experience in relevant role for at least 5 years
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Higher degree in accounts/finance/business management.
• High degree of accuracy
• High degree of attention to detail
• High interaction with both Operations and Commercial departments
• 2+ years of experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
• Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
• Goal-oriented, organized team player
