Job Title: Systems Integrity / Control & Instrumentation Upgrade Supervisor
Location: Azerbaijan, Onshore

A vacancy has been raised externally for a Systems Integrity / Control & Instrumentation Supervisor position as part  of the onshore Business Unit and is available for Azerbaijani citizens only.

This role will be part of the Systems Integrity Team, within the Operations Maintenance Department, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader. The candidate will have overall responsibility for creation and delivery of Drilling Systems upgrades, modifications and improvements across the ACG & SD rig fleet, to effect a step-change in delivery quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Providing clear accountability and a point-of-contact for the project delivery process;
• Management, control and delivery of drilling Systems upgrades, modifications and improvement projects, delivering Workpacks and liaising with OEMs and system vendors;
• Working within the overall framework of the BP eMoC system to ensure compliance at all stages;
• Examination, scrutiny and a point of control for vendor activities and products, ensuring that they meet client and contractor expectations at every stage;
• Liaison with client Rig Engineering and projects personnel, to ensure that the client’s requirements are met and all concerns are addressed;
• Close cooperation with the Systems Support Engineer, coordinating on maintenance issues, providing cross￾cover where required. Additionally, regular communication with rig maintenance superintendents and maintenance supervisors;
• Management and refinement of internal systems of work to ensure that planned projects are tightly managed, clearly visible and controlled per their approval path, specifications and timescales;
• Oversight of vendor and third-party documentation, activities and end-products, ensuring adherence to the project criteria;
• Mentorship, oversight and guidance of other project personnel, to manage project workloads successfully.

Requirements:

• Knowledge and hands-on experience of drilling systems maintenance and upgrades, knowledge and hands￾on experience of all platforms and equipment in the ACG & SD fleet;
• Proven track record of excellence in successive engineering roles, demonstrating motivation, diligence and flexibility;
• Ability to work cooperatively and productively with a number of stakeholders in critical projects;
• Demonstrable commitment to professional development, preferably at or working toward Chartered Engineer status;
• Knowledge, and experience of project management techniques (PMBOK, PMI, PRINCE2), and experience in management & delivery of small/medium sized projects;
• Excellent oral and written English skills, ability to communicate clearly;
• Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project) skills, proficiency with CAD, PLC, drive and
assorted automation & proprietary software.
