Position: Senior Linux Administrator
 
Summary and Purpose of Role:

Linux Administrator is a technical professional who specializes in maintaining and developing Linux infrastructure technology.
 
Areas of Responsibility Include:

Job Role Responsibilities:

 Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of production systems
 Develop scripts to automate administrative tasks
 Proactively identify and initiate resolution of production service issues
 Strong working knowledge of system configuration, Linux command line utilities, remote administration and scripting
 Resolve ticket requests from the business units
 Create documentation for systems and processes and automate applicable processes
 Work with vendors and service providers as needed to resolve issues and ensure best practices are followed

Position Qualification

Qualifications

2+ years knowledge with Linux (e.g. RHEL, Centos, Oracle Linux version 5-7)
Scripting and/or programming skills (e.g. Bash)
System monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Zabbix)
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, NFS, CIFS, LDAP, DHCP, NTP, NLB, BIND, firewalld, iptables
Experience with virtualization/container platforms (e.g. VMware )
Experience with Web/Application Server administration (e.g Apache,NGINX Tomcat)

Skills/Attributes

Experience with load balancing technologies, cloud environment, scripting skills with python
Experience with SAN solutions (FC/iSCSI) is a plus
Experience with HP Servers is a plus
Experience with container systems such as Docker is a plus
