Media Network Manager

Job Description:

• Strategic media directions and content development. Providing media & content expertise of Media Network to complement and evolve the local organization’s marketing mix in partnership with Brand, Sports and Culture Marketing, to further develop events and athletes/artists projects to tell the stories to bigger audiences.
• Building relations with partners, sponsors as well as media representatives and OPL’s. Communications and production management
• Leading programming (digital), building and growing audiences, as well as engagement by reaching more people, more often and for longer on our Owned and Managed 3rd party (youtube, facebook, instagram, snapchat, etc.) Channels as well as Community Management. Building Audience Engagement – reach, frequency and length of interaction – across those platforms by making sure to have the right content at the right time at the right outlet. Building consistent programming plans to increase awareness and relevance of the Brand and its content offering. Driving social media insights and programming best practices through the organization.
• Ensuring that team is developing and is constantly aligned with Company global audience- and media approach incl. events, opinion leaders and athlete & artists projects. Leading the country organization in developing innovative media network plans, utilizing strengths and differences of various partner platforms for programming and distribution as well activation of relevant media partners for communications
• Tracking digital development of the industry and motivating the team to stay ahead of curve by constantly evolving our story telling and digital platforms to optimize our consumers’ experience to watch our content anywhere, anytime and in any way they want

Main skills and background:

• A senior media professional with an extensive media network in the market. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in  Media, Communications, Digital or Strategy in media led companies. Excelent industry knowledge
• A proven track record in leading teams and projects in media and content business with proven ability to successfully develop audiences. A strong creative and operational background
• Analytic thinking with ability to translate into strategy and concrete initiatives
• Story teller and a story seeker that identifies year-around stories with a true media potential
• Excellent knowledge of Azerbaijani and fluent in Russian and English languages
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. Problem solver and good mediator aligning and coordinating conflict of interest
• Knows how to set an authentic and credible content strategy in the sports, culture and entertainment space while surprising with new categories to deliver beyond our traditional topic fields
• Experience in photo/video production is a definite plus
• Active, dynamic, open-minded with strong can-do attitude
