Payroll Accountant

BDO, the world's fifth largest international network of public accounting firms, is looking for Payroll Accountant for its Outsourcing Services department.

An applicant shall have Bachelor’s degree in finance or math and at least two years of professional experience in payroll calculations and payroll related statutory reporting, be able to utilise Electronic Government Portal, be familiar with relevant HR documentation (e.g. employment agreements, internal orders), have excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to liaise with state authorities. Professional knowledge of Azerbaijani and intermediate knowledge of English are required.

Tasks / Responsibilities :

Payroll

• Maintenance and reconciliation of personnel timesheets;
• Calculation of personnel base salary;
• Calculation of overtimes, deductions, bonuses, allowances, etc.;
• Calculation off-payroll payments such as business trip allowances as may be required;
• Preparation and execution of pay orders;
• Distribution of pay slips to personnel;
• Calculation and processing of payroll tax and social payments;
• Preparation and submission of payroll related information to management as may be required.

Compliance

• Maintenance of personnel files and relevant records in compliance with applicable legal requirements and operating needs;
• Processing employment records and related amendments in Electronic Information System;
• Preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly/annual reports to the state authorities as per requirements of applicable laws;
• Issuance and processing of statutory documents, such as orders, applications, sick notes, social security cards and others;
• Calculation of allowances for vacation, sick leave, maternity and others;
• Maintenance of vacation register;
• Provision of HR related information for finance department’s internal and external reporting purposes;
• Monitoring and implementing applicable requirements of Labour Law and Social Security Law;
