Bureau Veritas Azerbaijan is Looking for Well & Rig Equipment Inspector.

Duration: Long Term
Reports to: Project Coordinator
Location: Baku and Around Offshore/Onshore

Purpose:  To lead the drilling equipment inspection team and control the inspection works of drilling & completion equipment.

Essential:

- To perform drill steam, rig, drilling equipment, drill pipe inspection
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements, approved procedure and designated international standards
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the project safety requirements
- Read and interpret the engineering drawings
- Assist Quality department in assurance and control activities
- Prepare the inspection report

Qualification:

- High school diploma
- Certificates relevant to drilling and well equipment inspection, visual inspection, non-destructive testing is an advantage.

Knowledge, Experience, skills

- Minimum 7 years of industrial experience  and 5 years of experience of Drilling inspection services
- Sound knowledge in drilling, well equipment inspection, pressure testing
- Confidence in non-destructive testing of drilling equipment (UT, RT, MPI, LPT)
- Knowledge in TH Hill DS-1, API standards relevant to drilling and well equipment inspection (API RP 7G-2, API 4G, API RP 7L, API 5CT, API 5A5, API 5DP, API RP 8B, ISO 10407-2,  )
- Demonstrate knowledge in chemical and corrosion testing, corrosion mechanisms and prevention of corrosion.
- Be fully conversant with the drawings, specifications and procedures relevant to drilling equipment
- Familiarity with API Q1, Q2, ISO 9000/9001, HSE, drill string inspection (jars, stabilizers, drill collars, etc.), rotary drilling equipment inspection (MWD / LWD tools, hole openers, rotary steerable systems, mud motors), non-destructive examination techniques including magnetic particle testing, liquid penetrant testing, Completions equipment, interpretation of engineering drawings, metrology, function and pressure testing (hydrostatic and gas), wellheads and trees, liner hanger and running tools, hazardous area certification, lifting equipment, OCTG – make-up of proprietary connections, make-up and assembly of completions equipment (screens, gravel pack assemblies, wellbore cleanout tools), thread inspection, calibration, tubular handling equipment, fishing tools, manufacturing of OCTG and accessories,. welding

The position is considered site work.
