Job Title:  Electrical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

- Understand layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
- Conduct field surveys and study maps, graphs, diagrams, and other data to identify and correct power system problems.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and drive defect elimination.
- Provide engineering support to site personnel in troubleshooting issues related to electrical systems.
- Identify customer requirements related to electrical system changes and propose the solution.
- Inspect current operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards and codes.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations to establish standards and specifications.
- Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by reviewing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings or topographical maps.
- Perform gap analysis of electrical drawings to identify deviations from “As Built” revisions.
- Review FAT, SAT, Testing & commissioning procedures for new projects and attend test activities when required.
- Develop maintenance and operations procedures for electrical related equipment and systems.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

- 10+ years’ electrical engineering experience.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering.
- Working knowledge of the electrical standards and codes.
- Experience with Hazardous Area Classifications.
- Experience with industrial power distribution system designs including MV and LV switchgear, MCC’s, power distribution transformers, distribution boards, variable frequency drives, generator control panel & synchronizing system, batteries and UPS systems.
- Experience with Load Sharing and Load Shedding systems.
- Experience with protective relay settings and equipment sizing calculations associated with power distribution equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schemes.
- Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work on own initiative, work to deadlines and also be a team player.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent in Azerbaijani and English languages.
- Advanced PC user.

Working Conditions:

- Onshore based position
- Regular monthly offshore trips
