JOB SPECIFICATION

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Commissioning Technician
LOCATION: Kazakhstan

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Hands on testing and set up of all mechanical field equipment, inclusive of pumps, air compressors, turbines, piping systems, coolers and valves.
 Experience of using vibration monitors, laser alignment, lifting equipment, flushing skids, torque and tensioning equipment.
 Hands on experience in overhauling and commissioning, pumps, valves, compressors, coolers, turbines and pipe work.
 Experienced in the interpretation of all engineering documents including datasheets, P&IDs, Vendor drawings, pump curves, compressor curves, etc.
 Familiar with the application of Completion Management System for the control of Pre-Commissioning activities
 Familiar with the concept of Commissioning Systems and the representation of the same using Limits of System Hanover Documents.
 Ensure that the mechanical content of the dossiers is accurate and complete before they are accepted from construction and before they are submitted to operations department

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills:

 In depth knowledge of pipework and rotating machinery.
 Good team player
 Excellent Communication Skills.
 Should be computer literate.
 Working in remote, hot dusty environment

Experience:

 Vocational Mechanical training as an apprentice and 3 years’ experience of working in field based Construction/Commissioning environment in the Oil & Gas industry
