Assistant Revenue Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Revenue, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
•  To act as Revenue Manager in his/her absence and to support the Revenue team in achieving departmental objectives (i.e. Colleague Engagement, JDPower, Revenue Accuracy, QCC, LQA, RevPar)
• To supervise colleagues within the department ensuring that standards and policies of service are maintained
• Find opportunities to exceed our guests expectations, ensure the “right guest is in the right room”, and enable our front line colleagues can deliver exceptional service during our guests stay
• Accurately recording all required reservation information in the Central Revenue System (CRS) and/or the Property Management System (PMS)    
• Reviewing and update Revenue interfacing between the CRS and PMS
• To be actively involved in hotel and inter-department committees as required
• To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by having an active interest on their welfare, safety and development
• To assist in the selection of new employees for Revenue
• To ensure that all departmental reports and correspondence are completed on time and accurately
• To work closely with Front Office and Sales Departments as well as Fairmont Hotels and Resorts Global Revenue to ensure inventory accuracy
• Work with Director of Revenue to monitor inventory and troubleshoot problem dates
• Build and maintain new and existing rate offers
• Ensure the Revenue office adheres to all health & safety standards
• To attend and lead the monthly Revenue Department communication and information meeting
• Monthly payroll
• Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
•  Fluency in English (verbal & written), Azerbaijani and Russian an asset
•  Previous experience is an asset
•  Self motivated and able to make decisions in an unsupervised setting
•  Able to work well under pressure and take initiative
•  Must be well organized and have excellent written and oral communication skills
•  Knowledge of Property Manager, CRS, Microsoft Word and Excel
•  Knowledge of EZ Yield, Channel Manager and Travelclick would be an asset
•  Strong team player with excellent leadership skills
•  Previous Revenue and/or leadership experience is required
