Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs field inspections and oversees field measurements and data collection.
- Performs package mechanical systems planned and corrective maintenance.
- Provide front-line support for installation and commissioning activities.
- Gas Turbine Engine and Compressor removal and installation.
- Conducts condition monitoring of equipment (vibration analysis and diagnostics, lubricant analysis etc.)
- Supports mechanical systems retrofit and upgrade scopes.
- Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures compliance with HSE standards.
- Initiates/participates in continuous improvement initiatives in the assigned area of responsibility.
- Communicates with customers regarding the condition of equipment and repair work scope.
- Generates and submits field service reports.
- Ensures applicable Service Bulletins are reviewed and actions implemented if required.
- Performs technical duties in the area of responsibility
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them.
- Performs equipment troubleshooting and problem rectification.
- Evaluates component condition and repair options and performs the risk assessment for maintenance activities.
- Identifies and implements new or existing repair technology in the area of responsibility.
- Inspects completed work or work in progress to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors at their facilities.
- Performs field repairs of driven equipment, pumps, compressors and generators
- Contributes to Computerized Maintenance Management System Program (CMMS)
- Coaching and mentoring junior maintenance staff as per developed on-job-training program.
- Provide input on full field development specifications and related process equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental and health rules and regulations
- Any and all other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor, including the possibility of occasional workshop-based activities.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

- High school diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Detailed knowledge of power plant systems and equipment in the area of responsibility.
- Minimum 5 years experience in rotating equipment onsite maintenance, operations, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Experience in a similar industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation/maintenance; philosophy of Gas Turbines and Compressors, and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, fuel gas system, seal gas system, steam system etc).

Working Conditions:

- Offshore based position.
- Working schedule is rotation based 14/14.
