Job Title: Project Services Team Leader within RDS
Location: Azerbaijan
A vacancy has arisen for a Project Services Team Leader position within RDS as part of the onshore Business Unit.
Project Services Team Leader will be reporting to the Project Delivery Manager to ensure adequate manpower is sourced to deliver the required project engineering and project services.
Project Services Team Leader will be responsible to provide the Project Delivery Manager with all business performance reports and forecasts as required for the effective operation of the Baku Office business. PSTL will be responsible functionally to ensure appropriate project engineering and project services procedures and working practices are correctly implemented within the Baku offices to assure the correct output from the Project Engineering, Cost, Planning, Procurement and Document Control functions are maintained. He / she will be accountable to ensure that the output from the project engineering team meets client requirements with regards to HSE, technical specification, cost, schedule, quality assurance and profitability. May also be assigned at various times to work as Engineering Team Leader during ETL vacations.
Skills and Experience:
• Supervision of the day to day activities carried out by the Baku project engineering and project services functions including project engineering, planning, cost, procurement and document control personnel.
• Responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of RDS Cost, Planning, and Estimating Management System and Processes.
• Responsible for ensuring that all “in country” project procurement is carried out in accordance with GSM WWS.
• Preparation of monthly/weekly progress reports to support the Project Delivery Manager.
• Responsible for the preparation of the annual Baku Office Budget.
• Responsible for ensuring that all Services recruitment and competence is executed and demonstrated in accordance with RDS Procedures.
• Responsible for the development of the Baku based project services organization structure and for ensuring personnel are fully informed of their individual responsibilities in conjunction with the RDS Project Delivery Manager.
• Accountable for ensuring the Baku office based project services personnel are appropriately mentored, supervised and trained in conjunction with the RDS Project Delivery Manager.
• Accountable for implementing the annual appraisal system for all Baku based project services personnel in conjunction with the RDS Project Delivery Manager.
• Analysis and input to the Baku BP, RDS & KCAD QPR Slide(s).
• Liaison with Senior Project Engineers to ensure their needs are met with regard to project services input.
• Coordinate the communication of Best Practice within the function and prepare discipline guidelines as applicable for the Baku office.
• Ensure that Baku based project services work in accordance with the BP/KCAD Engineering management interface document.
• Ensure that dispensations against the RDS Project Management Handbook are requested and approved by corporate functions and tracked accordingly.
• Responsible to complete all “Project Services” actions included on the annual Integrity Management Plan.
• Responsible for validation of appropriate timesheets.
• Early identification of areas causing concern.
• Ensuring cost section in work file is closed and analysed with respect to CTR (and PCR’s if relevant).
• Appropriate forward planning of resources and timely identification of changes to resource requirements.
Requirements:
• Relevant Diploma in Engineering.
• Interfacing with and lead where required, other disciplines in multi-discipline projects.
• Confidently contribute in meetings with Clients, suppliers, managers and other personnel at all levels.
• Manage projects from initiation through implementation to completion and final handover.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software.
• Good working knowledge of BP ETP's, industry Codes of Practice and International Standards for the Oil and Gas Industry.
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, coaching skills.
• Extensive experience with RDS at a senior level.
• Extensive experience with Project Services.
• Detailed understanding of Greenfield and Brownfield expertise within RDS.
• Detailed understanding of Greenfield and Brownfield markets.
• Leadership experience within Engineering industry.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic self-motivator.
• Excellent command of the English language.
