Job Title: Instrumentation Design Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
To develop engineering projects analysis to include preliminary design, calculations, budget analysis, life cycle costs plus equipment selection
To prepare design and engineering deliverables including drafting works, P&ID , loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, block diagrams, wiring and interconnecting cable drawings, cable tray route, survey reports, task risk assessment, cable sizing calculation, cable & drum lists etc.
To check deliverables prepared by other technical personnel, taking part in instrumentation surveys, inspection, liaison with client technical personnel on technical requirements
Preparing Panel Schedules, SLD, Feeder Data, Cables and Circuit Breakers Selection, Voltage Drop and Short Circuit Calculations, Load Estimation and Coordination with Other Trades
To conduct survey, report on existing instrumentation installations and identify customer requirements.
To provide instrumentation design details for new and refurbishment projects.
Interpreting design specifications and technical drawings.
To prepare product documentation, writing reports and specifications.
To communicate with contacts at all levels, attend on-site meetings.
To develop and prepare detailed instrumentation engineering and construction installation documents and provide engineering support during all phases of project to management and field installation employees.
Education/Experience and Qualification:
High school diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field
Strong computer skills (AutoCad (2D & 3D), PDMS Microsoft Office)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Familiarity with IEEE, IEEE,IEC, NFPA standards.
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage the work.
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
Ability to make contacts and develop effective working relationships within and outside the department.
