RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Carpenter is responsible for ensuring of facility maintenance for our colleagues and our Guests.  The Carpenter will provide the highest work quality and standards acceptable to Fairmont Baku.
 
• Providing exceptional guest service, including offering assistance to Colleagues and Guests in a courteous manner
Maintaining and repairing all equipment and furnishings within the guestrooms, public areas, colleagues areas and back of the house areas
• Detecting any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing, and refurbishing the same.
• Reporting all defects and damages to the Director of Engineering.
• Inspect building and facilities for needed services and repairs
• Maintain building interiors and exteriors
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
• Complying with the industry standards and safety regulations of working.
• Maintaining all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted in a facility.
• Efficiently managing time and meeting all specified deadlines.
• Properly using and maintaining equipment
• Safely operating tools such as hand tools, chainsaw, hoist and rigging material, log splitter
• Safely deploying and utilizing ladders, and scaffolding equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree or an associate’s degree or diploma in carpentry or any other related field of study with about 2 – 3 years of experience as a maintenance worker.
