AAS – ATE JV is a dynamically growing joint venture providing services in waste management and has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2008. The company primarily provides specialist waste management support to oil and gas and construction sector. The company operates its own waste management facility and a variety of waste management facilities on behalf of major Oil and Gas Company.

The Company is pleased to announce a vacancy for the following position:

Thermal Unit Operator- Authorized Electrical Person

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Fulfill Performing Authority & AEP responsibilities at shifts.
• Be familiar with all AGTR SSOW documents. Issue and Revalidate Permits.
• Comply and adhere to the Permit to Work Procedure requirements and the Energy Isolation Procedure.
• Overall responsibility for the safe control of work activities in accordance with the Control of Work procedure within their designated areas.
•  Liaising closely with the PA’s when planning permits, to ensure that the appropriate hazards and controls have been identified for that task.
• Flexible approach to work 12 hour shifts, nights & weekends.
• Carry out accurate, proper handovers at shift and crew change.
• Operation of the Thermal units in accordance with Plant Operating Manual.
• To follow the site ops safety rules and report immediately any observed unsafe condition to AA and field HSE.
• Ensure that only personnel authorized by the Permit participate in the work and no unauthorized interference takes place.
• Ensure that only work covered within the scope of the Permit takes place.
• Ensure that the worksite is kept in a clean and safe condition both during and upon completion of the job.
• Ensuring that the appropriate level of risk assessment has been carried out for the task & Isolation (Level 1 or 2)
• Install, repair, alter, and maintain electrical fittings, devices, and fixtures for heating, lighting, or power purposes
• Using test equipment & hand tools to diagnose, locate & fix electrical problems
• Checking & testing circuit breakers and replacing them where required
• Tracing, diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
• Carrying out electrical installation and maintenance work.
•  Maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment
• Provide the culture to “STOP the Job” if anyone feels unsafe

Reporting requirements:

• Reporting to: Operations Manager
• Employees reporting to this position: Thermal Unit Operator assistant

Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience preferred
• University degree
• CompEx ceritifcate preferred
• AEP (Status)
• Must have PC skills literacy
• English writing/speaking fluency  skills
