Job title: Base yard supervisor

Field of activity: Fabric maintenance – Scaffolding/Blasting/Painting/Rigging & Lifting

Work location: Baku, onshore

Experience:

Minimum 5 years experience in fabric maintenance
Minimum 3 years experience in the similar role

Education:

• University degree in a relevant subject

General requirements:

 Deemed competent to supervise all aspects of work activities
 COSHH awareness
 Health/Safety and Environmental Risk Assessment awareness
 Working at height regulations awareness
 Confined space awareness
 Good communications skills
 Proactive team player/leader
 Risk and safety management systems knowledge
 Enough technical knowledge to support to the client

Duties:

The Base yard Supervisor’s main purpose is ensuring the safe and effective operations of the Base yard facility. Drives the overall delivery of the Base yards operations for both base yard projects and assistance of site projects. Responsible for ensuring all work completed is done so safely and to procedure and is accountable for all work and personnel on site at any time.

• Control and be accountable for Maintenance plant & equipment
• Running team safety meeting before commencing work scopes
• Complete all necessary paperwork related to base yard operations
• Overall control of all base yard work
• Conducts inductions to all visitors to the Base yard facility
• Carry out reasonable tasks outside normal duties (as directed by Operations manager) to support the smooth running of the business
• Be actively involved and contribute to completing an onsite Task Based Risk Assessment which identifies additional risks or hazards involved in the work scope prior to work commencing.
• Ensuring the work teams are working under the correct valid permits and the associated paper work is in place prior to work commencing.
• Be actively involved in the onsite daily toolbox talk confirm that team understand what the work scope involves and be aware if there any changes to the work or worksite.
• Ensure all equipment has been fully safety checked, function test of plant equipment prior to use.
• IT capabilities required – Excel, Project, Outlook, etc. Desirable – Maximo, SAP & Ariba.
