Work location: Baku, onshore

Experience:  

• 10-15 years of relevant Offshore/Onshore Oil and Gas industry experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar Management position
• Minimum of 3 years experience with Offshore Assets
• A background of the relevant core disciplines is essential.
• Ability to work as a member of an interdependent business unit team.
• Flexible approach with a strong work ethic.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communicator.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (Previous overseas experience an advantage)
• Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects
• Able to communicate in Azerbaijani and English

Education:

University degree in a relevant subject

Duties:

Operations Manager will primarily be responsible for the delivery of the Business Unit Operations and Maintenance multi discipline support services in compliance with contractual and business commitments to clients.

• Providing the focal point for Client personnel and ensure the effective flow of information to the Client as required.
• Ensuring compliance with all Company and Client Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Management Systems and Procedures.
• Overseeing the personnel selection including trade testing, inductions, work scope pre-briefings, etc. of the Company supervision and labor force.
• Interfacing with the HR/Logistics Dept. in the coordinating of personnel logistics.
• Managing of plant materials and consumables mobilisations to service relevant project requirements.
• Monitoring and reporting of actual performance of projects against the performance standards and budgets.
• Interfacing with the company support services and administrative services to ensure proper management control is maintained.
• Undertaking of site visits and site surveys as required to deliver the highest standards of service.
• Undertaking commercial estimating of work to develop budget targets and delivering projects within targets.
• Ensuring the provision of accurate and timely reports and information for the commercial management of the contract such as plant sheets, material costing, job allocation, budgets, estimates, forecasts; valuations and invoices.
• Developing and maintaining working relationships with client and peer contractors to ensure delivery.
• Supporting the Project Managers and supervision to ensure compliance to the various Management Systems
• Participating in audits to monitor the compliance with the various Management Systems.
• Collating statistical performance data to support the Key Performance indicators
• Active participation in all Client safety systems
• Delivering innovative solutions and reporting the progress achieved against any innovation plan
• Assisting with the implementation of the Competency Assurance and appraisal process such as trade tests, profiles, development plan, etc.
• Active participation in a communication network between all the operations for lateral learning.
• IT capabilities Required – Excel, Project, Outlook. Desirable – Maximo, SAP & Ariba.
