Position: Payroll Accountant

Reports to & Reviewed by: HR & Payroll Team Leader

Job Role Responsibilities:

 Responsible for the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all employees; 
 Review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets;
 Track and deduct all garnishments, cash advances and other special payroll deductions;
 Responsible for the coordination efforts between payroll, human resources, finance and timekeepers to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data (including preparation/distribution of detailed reports, e.g. labor work hours, overtime, leave balances, head count etc.);
 Handle the administration of the electronic timekeeping system;
 Salary cards issuing
 Review provided documents and track state allowance payments;
 Annual salary reference letter issuing.

Minimum Qualifications:

 At least 2 years of payroll, accounting or equivalent experience required; Multi-state payroll and/or union experience a plus.

Knowledge

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
 CPA or MBA preferred

Skill

 Fluency in English
 Proficiency Microsoft Word and Excel; Advanced Excel skills a strong plus.
 Strong Management and Communication skills
 Must be professional, team-oriented, well organized, detail-oriented and able to adapt to changing demands in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
 Must also possess the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters with maturity and discretion.
