ARCHITECT-ENGINEER (CONSTRUCTION)

Responsibilities:

• Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements and budget of a project and in some cases help to select a site;
• Prepare cost estimation of the project, estimation of material consumption and do market research;
• Prepare architecture design based on design requirements;
• Assess the needs of the building and its users and advise the client on the practicality of their project;
• Analyze building or system prototypes submitted by architects in order to increase efficiency, decrease costs, and enforce adherence of building codes and compliance issues;
• Carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget;
• Control projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design;
• Brainstorm creative design plans;
• Perform work of complex scope and at a variety of scales.

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Architecture;
• Minimum 5 years of work experience;
• Strong portfolio to prove design skills;
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards;
• Visual awareness and an eye for details;
• Communication and project management skills;
• Creative, inventive and imaginative;
• Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities.
