Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand and support Bank’s business philosophy and objectives;
• Do all within his/her ability to meet targets and work unceasingly to enable DemirBank to meet its goal;
• Conduct all activities in compliance with DemirBank policies and procedures;
• Manage information technology and computer systems;
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations;
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems;
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy;
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time;
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures;
• Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness;
• Plan, design and implement an overall IT management process for the bank;
• Produce detailed timeline for each application release and implement effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status;
• Approve all business requirements prior to the technical solution;
• Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, telephones, software applications, and peripherals;
• Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance;
• Oversee systems development and enhancement and the integration of new systems with existing systems;
• Work with advocacy staff to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation;
• Communicate regularly with executive management and all users of information services and systems;
• Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades;
• Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services;
• Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements;
• Manage financial aspects of the IT Department, including purchasing, budgeting, and budget review;
• Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision;
• Follow all standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines;
• Develop the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups and offices, new projects, technologies;
• Provide support, education and training to staff to build IT awareness within the bank.

Qualification and requirements:

• Candidate must possess professional degree in Information Technology studies;
• Professional background in IT management in financial services is an added advantage;
• International qualification in IT (preferred)
• 10 years+ experience in IT Management;
• 5 years+ managerial experience;
• Tenacious individual with strong communication, problem-solving, relationship and consensus-building skills and a high degree of personal initiative and attention to detail;
• Technical consciousness;
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English, Russian and Azeri;
• High level of loyalty towards the employer;
• Capability and willingness to take responsibility and highly developed sense of rectitude;
