Reporting Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform month end close to ensure submission to corporate deadlines where applicable.
• Manage and perform month and quarter end reconciliation according to corporate deadlines and standards.
• Manage general accounting activities for allocated entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel expenses, banking processes, including proper local taxes calculation/deduction/payment.
• Understand key models and month end tasks, proactively seeking to improve and simplify where necessary.
• Ensure all assigned reconciliations are prepared and reviewed accurately and submitted in line with corporate criteria.
• Interact and respond to auditor queries, internal and external as necessary. Support controllership data requests, and auditing processes, as well as data provision to outsourcing companies providing HR/Payroll/Tax services
• Participate in financial/tax related projects and initiatives of the company
• Ensure accurate records and maintenance for AP, as well as constant update of VML and contracts validation
• Ensure timely update of signatories to the banks in the region and be proactive in update of data related to signatories and access receipt
• Support with timely payments to vendors and payroll
• Simplify the payment process, as well as participate and drive projects for standardization of payment processes in the region
• Ensure accurate posting of bank and AP related transactions for month end closing process within corporate timelines
• Support with ad-hoc projects and other Management Controllership tasks as necessary.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and team
• Participate in financial/tax related projects and initiatives of the company

Requirements

• Finance/Accounting degree or equivalent
• ACCA/CIMA qualification (student above paper 5 or member)
• High Qualified Accountant specializing in US GAAP and or IFRS.
• Min. 6 years experience in accounting
• Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong system skills (MS Office including Excel, Oracle, specific system(s) desirable)
• Proactive, ability to operate effectively with minimal guidance.
• Ability to challenge processes and implement improved working methods and projects
• Ability to lead team
• Ability to look for solutions in complicated work situations
• Knowledge of local tax legislation and experience of work with state authorities
