Job Title: MEP Engineer
JOB PURPOSE:
MEP Supervisor is responsible for the performance of skilled work in mechanical, electrical and plumbing; maintenance schedule; daily operation of HVAC and electrical systems and other technical services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the functionality of the building/offices/apartments. He is supervising the scope of technical maintenance works for the following tasks, all of which he is deemed competent to undertake:
KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES:
Managing of mechanical and electrical and plumbing maintenance works; formulating plans and strategies for effective maintenance; overseeing the proper working of all unites; inspecting MEP at the jobsite;
Supervising employees to ensure efficient maintenance works;
Complying with all safety norms and regulations of working;
Coordinating operations, testing, quality assurance of machinery/equipment;
Review of drawings & reading specifications;
Conducting routine check for detection of any malfunctions; specializing in various kinds of repairs and upkeep;
Ensuring the proper usage and handling of electrical testing equipment and tools;
Prepare schedule of maintenance works; leading a team of staff and assistants and assigning tasks to them;
Ensure that safety precautions are followed in installation, maintenance and working of equipment;
Conducting necessary training activities;
Spare planning; keeping a record of repair and maintenance functions;
Maintains key control system, inventory;
Handling worker problems and communicating to management;
Reports to supervisor;
Other duties as assigned.
COMMITMENT TO SAFETY DUTIES:
Implement HSE standards, rules and regulations;
Monitoring of fire alarm systems;
The coordination of any supplier/subcontractor details in any emergency response situation.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years previous maintenance experience;
General knowledge of all commercial and residential MEP;
Ability to operate, to diagnose and to repair maintenance equipment;
Must understand the protocol for ordering parts and equipment;
Ability to read and interpret data from charts, gauges, dials, blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals as needed when making adjustments, repairs or installations;
Ability to communicate well with general public;
High School diploma;
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays;
Driving licence;
Good command in the English and Russian languages;
Computer literate (data base experience preferable).
